- I felt guilty enough that I wanted to make Steve happy. But also, I knew that if I got him a few drinks, he'd crash fast. Steve couldn't handle much alcohol. More than me, but not much...... I dashed for the bar and mixed him up a good stiff drink. Stiff? There was so much vodka in it the Vodka & Coke I made that it could've stood on its own without the glass. I dashed back to Steve and handed it to him, smiled as he knocked it back. His eyes crossed for a second, wobbled, then focused on me. I smiled. He smiled. This plan was working. I got him a second drink which he downed just as thirstily. This plan was working well.
